Fitness World Success Stories 2025 ✨
This year, we received hundreds of submissions across all our clubs. Thank you to everyone who shared their journey with us. Your stories motivate our trainers, our teams, and the entire FW community.
We’re proud to introduce our 4 Finalists and recognize our Semi-Finalists across British Columbia.
PJ, Our 2025 Winner!
PJ’s transformation began during one of the hardest chapters of her life — when she realized she had lost the spark that once made her feel alive. But with courage, determination, and support from her trainer, Richie Loo, she rebuilt herself from the inside out.
“I promise if you stick to your plan, your promise to your personal best, there will be an entire cheer squad at this gym, with fist bumps, smiles and words of inspiration.”
2025 Finalist, Larry!
For most of his life, Larry described himself as “the skinny kid” — someone who felt destined to be small and overlooked. But that changed the moment he walked into Fitness World Cambie and met his trainer, Kat.
“At 56, I’m in the best shape of my life. I’m stronger, healthier, and more confident than I could have ever imagined. I’ve put behind me decades of feeling inadequate and replaced it with an unstoppable conviction to be in the best shape I possibly can.”
2025 Finalist, Anjolie!
Anjolie’s journey began with heartbreak, but grew into pure empowerment. Anjolie made a promise to take control of her health and her future — for herself and her son. At Fitness World, she found belonging, encouragement, and a trainer — Paras — who believed in her before she believed in herself. Today, she’s down 80 pounds and standing stronger, prouder, and more unstoppable than ever.
“Fitness World was the first gym where I felt like I truly belonged. From the moment I walked in, I felt seen, welcomed, and safe… That’s what kept me coming back.”
2025 Finalist, Dax!
In 2024, Dax made a promise: to fight for his life, his health, and his family. With guidance from his trainer, Travis, and the support of the Fitness World community, Dax rebuilt his strength and lost over 80 pounds — all driven by one powerful mantra: “Don’t drop the baby.”
“Going to the gym has been a life changer for me, taking my health and fitness from a low priority to a high priority in my life. Getting myself back in shape has allowed me to do the one thing that kept me motivated — I spend time every day playing and enjoying watching my granddaughter grow and learn”

Mark
Downtown Fitness World
“The best part is that I’m not just stronger, I’m more balanced and focused. Fitness World helped me build a version of myself that’s disciplined, energetic and confident in tackling any physical goal. What started as a casual attempt to ‘stay fit’ has turned into a lifelong passion for pushing limits and discovering what I’m capable of.”
Rana
Georgia Fitness World
“Today, I feel stronger, healthier, and more confident than ever. My posture has improved significantly, my muscles are more defined, and my energy levels are higher, making daily activities easier and more enjoyable. Beyond the physical changes, I’ve noticed a boost in my mental wellbeing, focus, and self-assurance. Fitness has become a natural and enjoyable part of my lifestyle, and I continue to challenge myself, set new goals, and celebrate milestones along the way.”
Christian
Kingsway Fitness World
“I went from 110kg to 65kg, and this transformation has shown me what I’m truly capable of. Today, I’m proud of the progress I’ve made. I’ve maintained a healthy weight of 68kg, improved my strength and endurance, and built confidence in my abilities. Beyond the numbers, I’ve developed discipline, resilience, and time-management skills that continue to benefit me in all areas of life.”
Cian
Kitsilano Fitness World
“Today, I am living proof that a lifestyle of sobriety, and appropriate, realistic diet and fitness goals can transform anyone's life completely. I just beat my previous best half marathon time by 20 minutes in the Royal Victoria Half Marathon last weekend, and I am immensely grateful to all the hardworking staff at Fitness World... for the gift of having experienced this incredible fitness and lifestyle journey!”
Usmahn
Langley Fitness World
“My goal was to never give up hope when I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, a movement disorder. A disease that has no cure and slowly robs you of your movement. My goal was to hit the gym hard and never give up, push myself to the maximum. Today I am in the best shape of my life. Now I am trying to maintain and keep pushing myself. No quit baby!”
Sarah
Lonsdale Fitness World
“I am now 170lbs with more energy than I have had in years. I have minimal joint pain and I can feel how much stronger my body is. I am starting to see some definition in my body and even a small muscle here and there. I am coming to the end of my weight loss journey but am just beginning my fitness journey.
Satanai
Lougheed Fitness World
“I remember being completely defeated and thinking I will never be able to strength train ever again. I was absolutely devastated and would cry on occasion but I still decided to continue going to the gym and doing what I was able to do safely for my back. I find out later that a Fitness World personal trainer had shifted my whole journey for the better and over the course of months my back finally healed and I can safely squat more weight than I could pre-injury!”
Hardik
Marine Gateway Fitness World
“The more I worked out, the quieter my thoughts became. The tension I carried — in my shoulders, in my chest, in the way I constantly expected myself to do more — began to loosen. I realized that fitness was teaching me something deeper than physical discipline: the art of patience. You can’t rush strength. You can only show up and keep showing up.”
Becky
Nanaimo Fitness World
“Fitness has become my therapy — a place where I can release stress, regain control, and remind myself of how far I’ve come. My body wasn’t just something to improve, it became something to honor. Today, I’m cancer-free, thriving, and feeling like my body and mind are healthy, strong, and ready for whatever life throws next.”
Sasha
Semiahmoo Fitness World
“After 3 pregnancies back to back, I felt disconnected from my body and constantly exhausted. Between sleepless nights, childcare, and work, finding time for myself felt impossible. But I made a promise to show up — even on the hard days — and learned to celebrate small wins instead of chasing perfection... It feels incredible to say I’m stronger than ever and just getting started.”
Ishita
South Surrey Signature Fitness World
“What helped me turn things around was realising that progress starts with small, consistent changes. I began setting clear boundaries with work, planning workouts in advance, and finding healthier ways to unwind. It wasn’t easy, but once I made my health a priority, everything else started to fall in place. I have lost 45 pounds of body weight while building lean muscle, and it’s been an incredible transformation both physically and mentally.”
John
Victoria Fitness World
“My main goals were to reach 190 lbs, reverse my diabetes, and live a healthy, consistent lifestyle. I wanted to run 8K and 10K races again like I used to, eat better, and rebuild my strength. My doctor said that Sydney and I are doing all the right things. We’ve reversed my diabetes, though it’s still an ongoing process. My blood pressure is now exactly where it should be, and I’m getting stronger every week.”
