Memberships

How much does a membership cost?

We have a variety of membership options available starting at just $7.50 bi-weekly. Get started on your fitness goals today by clicking here or visit any club location for further info.

How can I try a location for free?

We offer a free 3 day pass to non-members who would like to try out our facilities. The Free 3 Day Pass is valid for 3 consecutive days, starting upon activation in-club. Only available to non-members, and is only valid once in a 6-month period. Additional terms and conditions apply, see club for details. Sign up for your Free 3 Day Pass here.

How old do I have to be to use your clubs?

Our clubs accommodate members as young as 16 years, or 12 years under certain circumstances, at select clubs. All members 18 or younger require a parent or legal guardian to co-sign for a memberships. For more details, contact your preferred club. 

I’m new to the gym, will you show me how to use the equipment?

Yes! We’re happy to offer all of our new members a free Goal Session with one of our Personal Trainers. In this session, you’ll get a one-on-one orientation of the gym, and consult with an expert on the fastest, safest way to achieve your goals.

Do you provide nutritional advice?

Yes! Our Personal Trainers are all DotFit certified and can help set you up with a plan for nutritional success. Contact your preferred club to find out more about our nutritional services.

Do you offer Child Minding?

Yes! We know fitting fitness into your busy schedule can be tricky, but our Child Minding makes it a little easier. Select club locations offer Child Minding services for children ages 1-12. Ages below 12 months are by reservation. This service has a 2-hour maximum duration and parents must remain in the building while the child is in our facilities. Pricing varies per location, services provided, and volume of children. Get in touch with your preferred club for details on your location’s services.

How can I pay for my membership?

You may choose the type of membership option that best aligns with your goals. We offer memberships in 12-month terms, or no contract with Month-to-Month. All payments are setup on a bi-weekly schedule, and can be made via Chequing Account, Visa, MasterCard or American Express credit card.

Can I bring a friend?

All members are able to bring one guest every six (6) months. Members who have signed up with a Goal Membership have unlimited guest privileges. You, as the member, must be present in the gym with your guest throughout their visit. Guests must register at the front desk with a valid picture ID and complete a release. Guests must be 18 years of age or older, unless the guest is a legal dependent, in which case your guest may be as young as age 16.

Can I add friends or family members to my membership?

Yes! We’ll be happy to walk you and your friends/family through our membership options.

Can I buy a day pass?

Yes! If you’re just passing through, this might be the right answer for you. Day passes cost $10, or $20 for our Granville Signature Club.

I got charged an Annual Enhancement Fee, what’s that?

The Annual Enhancement Fee is an industry standard fee to enhance our members’ experience in our facilities. The AEF funds facility upgrades and services and programs for our members.

How do I update info on my account?

To update your contact information, visit or call your preferred club location and connect with one of our team members.

How do I update my payment method?

I forgot my password for the App

Please select “Log In With Your xID” and then select “Forgot your Passcode?” You will enter your email or xID where prompted to, and an email will be sent to you shortly with a new passcode.

I forgot my xID for the App

In most cases, your xID is your phone number. Please try logging in with your phone number and a 4 digit passcode. If that does not work, please go to “Forgot your passcode?” and enter your email address. If you have an account created, you will receive an email with your xID and a new passcode to login.

I signed up for a gym membership, but my login is not working for the app.

If this is your first time accessing this app, please select “Login” -> “Create Account” and enter the required information.

I forgot my login info for the App, and I can’t be found in the system. What now?

If you are trying to create an account and you received a message that says “We could not locate you in the system.”, it may be one of the following:
•You may have entered a wrong barcode or home club during the registration process. You will have to enter the club you have originally signed up at.
•It may be your key tag number. Please see a team member so we can double check that your info matches up.
•Make sure to use the email address that is listed on your membership account. These must match in order to use your account on the App.

How do I know what kind of membership I have now?

We’ve grandfathered all previous Steve Nash Fitness Clubs members into our new membership system at the closest level to your prior membership. For more information on our new membership levels, click here and select your preferred club location.

I prepaid for a membership with Steve Nash Fitness Clubs, can I use this membership at Fitness World?

Absolutely. We are happy to honour all prepaid memberships purchased with Steve Nash Fitness Clubs.

I purchased Personal Training sessions with Steve Nash Fitness Clubs, will I be able to use them at Fitness World?

Yes! We are happy to honour all Personal Training packages purchased with Steve Nash Fitness Clubs. We encourage members to use their Personal Training sessions within 90-days of their home club reopening. Following this period, we will work with each member on a case-by-case basis.

My original preferred Steve Nash club is not owned by Fitness World, can I use my pre-paid membership or Personal Training sessions at another Fitness World location?

Yes! We are happy to welcome you to one of our open Fitness World locations. Find a club that works for you, and get in touch with one of our team members if you have any questions.

Can I extend my freeze beyond the clubs’ reopening date?

We will be providing members with an additional 30-day freeze to their membership, should they not want to return to the gym just yet. Following this period, we will work with each member on a case-by-case basis.

I don’t want to use my pre-paid membership or Personal Training sessions, can I get a refund?

Unfortunately, we cannot issue a refund as the Notice of Intent under the Bankruptcy & Insolvency Act prohibits us from doing so. To find out more information, please go to www.bowragroup.com/snfwfitnessbcltd

Will my app points carry over?

Unfortunately, app points collected with Steve Nash Fitness Clubs will not be carried over to your Fitness World App.

I got charged an Annual Enhancement Fee on XX Date. What’s that for?

We’ve introduced a new, lower Annual Enhancement Fee (AEF) for our members of $39.99 that is billed once a year. The AEF covers the member’s upcoming 12 month membership cycle. If your AEF date occurred during the club closure period, you will be charged a reduced AEF in October 2020. If your AEF date occurs after the club closure period, once clubs are open, you will be charged our new AEF of $39.99.

I don’t want to use my membership at Fitness World, can I transfer it to someone else?

Unfortunately, you cannot transfer your membership to someone else.

Do I have to sign a new agreement?

We have transferred all previous Steve Nash Fitness Clubs memberships over to Fitness World. You do not have to sign a new agreement. If you had prepaid your membership, you will renew your membership and sign a new agreement upon your prepaid membership’s expiry. If you would like to upgrade your membership, you will also sign a new agreement.

When will I start getting charged for my membership again?

Our membership dues will start up again following each club’s opening. Members’ first dues charge may include prorated dues for days open prior to the charge date.

Personal Training

I’m interested in Personal Training, can I try it out for free?

We offer all new Personal Training clients a Free Goal Session where you can spend 50 minutes one-on-one with a Personal Trainer to review your goals, and determine the best plan of action to achieve them. They’ll do a short assessment to see where you’re at, take you through a few exercise samples, and then review your options to achieve your goals.

Do I have to be a member to purchase Personal Training?

Yes. Our Personal Training is available to members of Fitness World. To find a membership best suited to you and get in touch with a Personal Trainer, contact your preferred club. 

How do I choose a Personal Trainer?

We want you to find the best Personal Trainer for your goals. Our Assistant Fitness Managers at each club location will be happy to help you find a Personal Trainer to help you on your fitness journey.

How long do I have to use my Personal Training sessions?

All Personal Training sessions must be used within 6 months of the date of purchase.

What do I do if I am unable to make my scheduled Personal Training session?

To cancel a scheduled Personal Training session, you must give 24 hours notice by contacting your Personal Trainer or your club location. You will be charged for the session if you are more than 15 minutes late, cancel your session less than 24 hours in advance, or no-show to your session.

Classes

Do you offer group fitness classes?

Yes! We offer tons of Classes weekly at all of our locations, including Zumba, Yoga, Tabata, Dance, Step, and more!

How do I get access to Classes?

Classes are included in our Fit and Goal memberships. Get in touch with a team member at your preferred club to find out about your membership level.

I’ve never taken a class before, what should I expect?

Different class styles offer a different experience, but all of our Classes are designed for all fitness levels. We suggest bringing a water bottle and towel with you to class, and feel free to let the Instructor know it’s your first time so they can make sure you’re comfortable and ready to sweat!

Small Group Training

Do you offer Small Group Training?

Yes! THE WORX is our Small Group Training program available at all of our club locations.

What’s the difference between THE WORX Small Group Training and Classes?

THE WORX is based on circuit style training and functional fitness, and uses more equipment found in the gym. It’s also a smaller group size, with an expert leader to guide you through all the exercises and motivate you to work harder! THE WORX is available to members with a Goal Membership.

Classes are held in the Studio and includes various class styles, such as Zumba, Yoga, Tabata and more. Classes are available to members with the Fit and Goal Memberships.

COVID-19

What steps are you taking in the clubs to keep members safe?

Contactless Check-In: Download the Fitness World App (previously the SN Clubs App) on the App Store or Google Play and scan in with ease when you enter the club! A Member Service Representative will assist you setting up the app on your smart phone when you arrive.

Hand Sanitizer & Washing: Hand sanitizer will be available throughout the club. Members are also encouraged to wash their hands before and after their workouts. 

Club Cleaning: Club cleaning will be in effect throughout the day. We also recommend members clean equipment before and after use.

Physical Distancing: Designated entrances and exits, distanced cardio equipment, physical distancing within the Class Studio, distancing in the changerooms and washrooms, as well as signage to remind members to remain two meters apart when using machines, personal training area, free weights, etc.

I still don’t feel comfortable returning to the gym, what are my options?

We will be happy to offer you a 30 day extension on your membership freeze at no cost. This will be a period of 30 days from the date of your preferred club opening.

Will all club amenities be available?

While we wait on further direction from BC Health Authorities, our Child Minding, Steam Rooms, Saunas, Swimming Pools, and Showers will be closed. Our Granville Signature club will not have towel service until further notice. We will keep our members updated on the status of these amenities via email.
